As a member of a club in South West Pacific you are aware and agree that the member's information found in this website can be accessed by all members and may be used by them for research, analysis, statistical data aggregation and for correspondence only as this relates to Soroptimist organisation matters. Soroptimist International South West Pacific board respects your privacy. South West Pacific board will not disclose your personal information to any other third party groups. South West Pacific Board will collect and use this information solely for the functions of the organisation.

In order to become a member of Soroptimist International South West Pacific information about yourself must be supplied including:

Why we collect and use your personal information?

Since the advent of the SISWP website and database, the information is used to administer and maintain your logon and access to "My Pages”, providing members with specific access and publishing rights according to positions held.

The primary purpose for collecting personal information about you is:

• to establish membership with Soroptimist International;
• for financial payment of membership fees including, but not limited to, billing and payments;
• to track membership to assist with the identification of members for promotion to leadership positions;
• to assist with member retention, notification of conventions and other meetings;
• for delivery of South West Pacific publications;
• and to register positions and roles within the organisation and for historical purposes.

Your Rights

You have a right to access personal information that we hold about you. If at any time your details change you must edit your details and keep these details current. (In compliance with National Privacy Principle 3 - Data Quality).

Posting of Data

Members posting material (which includes text, images, graphic and video and links to other websites) to the website, must consider the reputation of the organisation and have the necessary permission should copyright rules apply. Members must not post to the website any material that is threatening, libellous, defamatory, abusive, obscene, vulgar, pornographic, profane, racist, indecent or infringing of another person's rights. Content and comments related to Soroptimist Programme of Service must accurately reflect the Position Statements document “Where We Stand”.

Security

The security of our systems and member details is a key priority for Soroptimist International South West Pacific and such will take reasonable steps to protect the security of the personal information stored in electronic or hard copy form. Soroptimist International South West Pacific board will respond to any unauthorised access to or inappropriate use of personal information. As such members are reminded to change their passwords regularly and not to disclose or share their member logon and password with others.
