SI Logan Year 10 Leadership Day.
SI Logan held it's 13th annual Year 10 Leadership Day in May 2019. The event is provided as a full day conference targetted to students within the Year 10 level.
Every secondary school within the Logan City education region is invited to participate by sending girls and an accompanying teacher to the event. Professional guest speakers donate their time and expertise to share relevant subject matter with the attendees.
This year's topics included an overview of Soroptimism and the work SI Logan achieves at a local, regional, national and international level and an update from our 2018 SI Logan bursary recipient. Our guest speakers provided presentations on leadership and equality; respectful relationships; and how anger can be a healthy emotion.
The success of the conference is gauged from teacher feedback forms and information provided in student presentations at the end of the day which captures key messages from the day.
