
Soroptimists love to attend events and conferences. These events bring together Soroptimists from the 5 Federations providing opportunities to network and collaborate on projects. Conventions provide opportunities to learn about existing and emerging issue affecting women and girls, attend workshops and listen to key note speakers, all opportunities to expand the professional and personal development of Soroptimist.
In the Soroptimist calendar, there are Federation conferences every two years, an international convention every 4 years and the wonderful celebration of welcoming new members to the Soroptimist movement every time a new Club Charters. Clubs also hold frequent events which raise funds or promote awareness advocacy. Webinars are also regularly hosted on a variety of topics

Soroptimist International South East Asia Pacific regularly presents live interactive presentations. These webinars cover a range of topics. Webinars on the projects which we deliver. The value of membership as well as self-training webinars on how to use Google Drive, navigate the website and use the Programme reporting database.

Conference of Clubs:
Women Shaping the Future
21-23 March 2025 Invercargill, New Zealand
Aotearoa New Zealand National President Melanie Plaisted invites Soroptimist members and friends from the SISEAP Federation and across the globe, to Invercargill, the southernmost and westernmost city in New Zealand, and one of the southernmost cities in the world. It is the commercial centre of the Southland region.
Conference is being held at the Kelvin Hotel, which is centrally located near shopping mall, restaurants and bars. If booking accomodation at the hotel, please mention Soroptimist Conference of Clubs as rooms have been set aside for conference attendees.
Registration includes Friday afternoon trip (Marae visit), Friendship Night, morning and afternoon teas, Saturday lunch, Gala dinner on Saturday night. Other registration options are available for daily or online attendance.

Friday 21st March, 12.30 pm Opening Powhiri at Te Rau Aroha Marae, Bluff (transport provided) followed by a Friendship Evening at the Kelvin Hotel
Saturday 22 March, All Day - Conference, followed by a gala dinner to celebrate the 50th birthday of SI Invercargill
Sunday 23 March, 9-12.30 pm Conference
Plan to stay longer and enjoy the beauty of New Zealand and an opportunity for a free jet boat ride on the Waiau River, Te Anau - Monday 24th - Tuesday 25 march 2025 with Fishjet NZ

A action packed itinerary has been prepared by our Soroptimist sisters, visiting Ulaanbaatar, Tereli Camp, Darkhan, Kharaa River, Selenge province, overnight in a Ger camp, Tujiin Nars National Park, Chinggis Khaan memorial and the two anniversay dinners. Including an option to take a additional tour to Khuvsgul.

Joining the Soroptimist movement brings great joy, the formation and charter of a new Club is always a celebration, new members are welcomed and valued. Membership is a gift. As club charter events are announced you will find them listed here.
