The Walk for a Brilliant Future has now concluded. The initiative of the walk was for Soroptimists and friends to get active out and about in your community, create change by promoting a healthy lifestyle, whilst raising money for the Brilliant Futures Fund which in turn creates change by providing grants to clubs to implement life changing projects in their communtiies.
100 people from across the Soroptimist world registered for the walk, and whilst we did not walk across the 5 Federations to the Gala celebration in America, we did walk through all the countries in our own South West Pacific federation, which also included a visit to Soroptimists clubs in The Phillipines, which is a part of the Americas Federation.
As we walked through the countries of the South West Pacific we learnt about projects which helped form our BRIGHT PAST and were introduced to current projects being undertaken by our members.

The Centennial committee were very enthusiastic about the walk and the funds which would be raised for the Brilliant Futures Fund. This is a funding source for SWP clubs to apply to for grants of up to $10,000 to implement projects which have life changing benefits for women and girls.
Watch out for another Walk in 2021 and get on board, it is fun, engaging, promotes a healthy lifestyle, and raises funds which make a difference to women and girls.
