International Day of the Girl Child is celebrated annually throughout the world on the 11th of October. Watch and share this pioneering video initiative by SI including the 5 Federation representatives on the Global Advocacy team.

"As the International Day of the Girl, 11 October, approaches Soroptimist International has released a video which explores how Soroptimists in our 5 federations are continuing to tackle the inequality which girls around the world face.

Looking at issues such as trafficking, child marriage, violence against women and FGM, it showcases projects from each federation to show how Soroptimists work to provide a future for girls in which equality is possible and education becomes the means by which their future may be achieved. It gives us not only a glimpse of the work of our sister Soroptimists but also a sense of the progress that has been made. It celebrates what has been done and what is possible.

Every Soroptimist should view and share it". Di Lockwood SWP Programme Director 2020-2022
