Christmas Gift Giving 2024
This year Soroptimist International Beenleigh seek your help. This image is just some of the hampers delivered Christmas 2022
For over 20 years Soroptimist International Beenleigh have been providing food hampers at Christmas time to families, pensioners and seniors, single parents with families. These food hampers are valued and provide necessary food items at a time when budgets are stretched. The smiles on the people receiving these gifts show how much these are valued. As Soroptimist Beenleigh have been gifting food hampers over such a long time, many organisations and people know of this and this year the list of people requesting food hampers due to the rising cost of living has increased beyond what we as a organisation can provide via the funds we have raised during the year. If you can spare $20.00 it would mean feeding a family for several days.

Art Therapy Workshops
Domestic violence, specifically, that which is perpetrated against women and children, causes physical, mental, and emotional trauma, resulting in a variety of pervasive injuries and disorders. Art Therapy provides the children and mothers a way to work through their mental and emotional issue with a trained counsellor and aids in the healing process.
SI Beenligh provides the funding for several art therapy workshops throughout the year.
Personal Hygiene Packs,
SI Beenleigh provides personal hygiene packs to schools in the Beenleigh District, these hygiene packs enable female high school students to attend school with dignity. Disadvantaged students cannot afford menstrual pads or tampons and the provision of these items by members of Soroptimist International of Beenleigh provide the students with the knowledge they can concentrate on school and not on making excuses as to why they are not at school.
