Women and Girls are faced with many issues, Soorptimists focus their efforts on these and develop projects that meet the specific needs of their communities. Working with their communities and the community leaders Soroptimsits gain a better understanding of what is required to deliver successful projects.
On a global level Soroptimists Special Consultative status provides SISEAP with access to not only ECOSOC, but also to its many subsidiary bodies, Soroptimists engage with UN entities to implement change.
Our Impact for 2021
In 2021 Soroptimists from the 13 countries in South East Asia Pacific region delivered projects at a cost of $436,829 AUD which benefited women and girls across Healthcare, Education, Elimination of Violence, Environmental issues and Literacy.
The gifting of scholarships, grants and bursaries expenditure totaled $203,167 AUD
